Aurora Film Festival App is a mobile interface designed for a fictional film festival, conceptualized as part of a 10-week project. Aurora is a women's film festival dedicated to celebrating and uplifting women in cinema. The app provides access to festival information, ticketing, and networking opportunities.

My first step in addressing the challenge was to define the festival’s identity. I chose to center the festival around celebrating and platforming women in film. The assignment brief outlined key features to prioritize, including easy access to festival information, ticketing, venue information, and festival navigation.

Aurora's goal is to platform and highlight the creativity of women in the film industry. In line with this goal, I used a warm color palette and elegant typography to evoke femininity and warmth.

The feedback revealed that while the app’s visual theme was effective, the design wasn’t intuitive, leaving users unsure of what certain features did (for example, the schedule feature) and how to complete some tasks (such as saving events to their Profile).

Users weren’t sure how to save events. They suggested using a more familiar icon (like a bookmark) and making the option more visible.
